you are.. let’s say…
just a lower-level (disposable) managerial staff
you are in a middle of a very career-crucial presentation
in such presentation,
you can talk directly to the other upper level management and directors and they WILL listen to you
it is such a rare ocassion and very important (to you)
they can fire or give you a promotion after your presentation
in the middle of your presentation,
while one of the director asking you a question, then…
your favorite (loud & annoying) michael-jackson ringtone blast from your cellphone
be honest here…what would you do?
a) pick up the phone and tell the director to hold on a minute
b) pretend not hearing michael jackson screaming via your ringtone
c) imidiately reject the call & set your phone to silent-mode
will you take the risk?
if the director or
other meeting participant got annoyed or even offended by your annoying ringtone?
i’ve seen a picture somewhere (i forgot where)…
a sticker in a mosque, with a picture of a cellphone being crossed and a body-copy saying :
“there are NO other call, as important as the calling from Allah Illahi (while doing shalah)”
in bahasa indonesia maybe it will be like :
“tiada panggilan yg lebih penting dari pada panggilan sang Illahi (ketika sholat)”
so..back to the issue
- KILL your cell phone while you’re in the “meeting” with the “director”
- ALWAYS choose option (c) in case of you forgot to turn on the silent-mode
- do not pretend not hearing it,
it will be very impolite and annoying to the “other meeting participant”
- ….do you dare to offend “the director”?
disposable lower management staff…. : you (we are very disposable to HIM)
the meeting …………………………………..: shalatul jama’ah
the other meeting participant……………: the imam & other fellow jama’ah
the director …………………………………..: Allah Subhanahuwata’alla
it’s such simple analogical situation. it’s real case in real life
why not implement it in your daily ritual?
SO…WHY DO WE STILL HEAR THAT ANNOYING RINGTONES AT OUR FRIDAY-PRAYER or OTHER SHALATUL-JAMA’AH?
KILL YOUR PHONE WHEN YOU’RE IN THE “MEETING”!!
IT’S THAT SIMPLE
(ok..now go back to work or go play again somewhere else…)
